Yes, In the interest of your security and our staff, CCTV is used through out the store during your visit, this is for your safety and for the prevention and detection of crime.
Please note if the police or any other government authority investigating suspected illegal activity request cctv images we are obliged to comply.

We take pride in providing a secure shopping environment for all who step through our door. To honour this commitment we have prohibited the following items.
– Alcoholic beverages and illegal substances.
– Helmets.
– Food.
– Animals with exception of assistance dogs.
– Tobacco, e-cigarettes and any other product that produces vapour or smoke.
– Suitcases including cabin size cases and oversized bags.
– Children are welcome into our store but under 18’s must be accompanied by a adult.
Regarding the current social distancing government guidelines we have restrictions on large groups due to the size of the store, to support safe distancing and management inside the store we have a limit of 4 adults at one time, please note this does not limit the number of children.
No we are not just for girls any more, recently we have included boys special occasion attire in our range of occasional wear, choose from sharp five-piece suits, christening rompers and baby boys clothing.

At The Feathered Nest we have removed all plastic carrier bags and replaced them with 100% recyclable paper carrier bags, we do not use plastic hangers, all our hangers are made of wood.
We do use soft plastic covers to protect our garments, However, these can be recycled at your nearest Co-op supermarket.
Merchandise not worn, used or damaged, still with original tags attached will be accepted for store credit, valid for one year or exchanged within 14 days of the purchase with original receipt.
SALE or reduced items are not eligible for refunds or exchange. All items are thoroughly checked before selling for any damage or marks and when returned, We can not be held responsible for any damage after the item has been sold.
No cash or card refunds.
In the interest of hygiene we regret we are unable to refund or exchange earrings or any hair accessories.
If you wish to exchange shoes we strongly recommend that you try them on a carpeted floor in order to minimise wear, you may not be entitled to an exchange or credit note if the shoes look worn.

The nearest cashpoint can be located at the end of the Arcade on the High street outside of the Post office.
Unfortunately we do not have toilet facilities in the store, the nearest public toilet is just a short walk to the Sovereign shopping centre and can be found just inside the entrance or at McDonalds on the corner of the high street.
Yes we recommend trying on before you buy, We have only one changing room so at busy times you may have to wait, Our quieter time is in the morning so this would be a better time to aim for if you have small children.
No you do not need an appointment during the week from Tuesday to Saturday between the hours of 10am-5pm, however if you would like the shop to yourself we recommend booking an appointment for a Sunday or Monday between the hours of 11am-3pm, when booking your appointment you need to give 24 hours notice on the website or by calling 07818 457 335.
